The five principles behind the world’s most efficient health systems

In an article for the Guardian Healthcare Network, Mark Britnell, head of healthcare, UK and Europe, at KPMG writes on what makes the perfect health system. After working in more than 60 countries, he writes, he has seen crucial patterns in the way that healthcare is managed, delivered and funded, and he lists the five principles behind the world’s most efficient health systems as:
